Laura y Carolina: The girls are twins and they are 7 years old. They like to play tennis and swim after school. The are loosing teeth like crazy...the tooth fairy is very busy around here! Ellas son gemelas, tienen 7 años y a ellas les gusta jugar al tenis y hacer la natación después de la escuela. Muchos de los dientes de leche se les están cayendo a las niñas. ¡Él ratoncito Pérez está muy preocupado en esta casa!
A little cultural fact: Here the tooth fairy is not a fairy at all, but a little rat named Mr. Pérez. Mr. Pérez has already visited us twice this week! When he comes he leaves not only 5 euros but chocolate too! I think Mr. Pérez is going to be broke by the time these girls loose all their teeth! :)
La visita del ratoncito Pérez (también conocido como la hada de los dientes en los EEUU) ya nos ha visitado dos veces esta semana. Muchos dientes se les están cayendo a Carolina y Laura y ellas están ganando un montón de dinero!! Sabías que el ratoncito Pérez le trae 5 euros y chocolate cada vez un diente se cae...que guay, no?!
Marcos: He is 3 years old and so funny! The things he says are hilarious and especially intelligent to me as I am very jealous of Spanish-speaking skills! haha! He is very curious and asks lots and lots of questions...I think it's that age when they want to know 'Why' everything happens?!
Él tiene 3 años y es muy cómico! Las cosas que dice él son preciosas y me parece muy inteligente, especialmente porque tengo mucho celos de sus técnicas de hablar el español tan perfecto! Él es muy curioso y pregunta muchas preguntitas buenas!
Cristina and I picked the kids up from school at 5pm (yes, that is how late they go to school) and then we had a bit of time to go to the park before swimming lessons. As you can see it was a gorgeous park right by the Ebro river. Oh by the way..I finally found out where the runners run! Here by the river! I saw 4 or 5 people go by while we were there and no one was even staring at them like they were crazy! Now, it's just a 25 minute walk to get to where I can properly run..hmmm?! Does that make sense, walk 50 minutes to run another 45?! Haha! We'll see tomorrow what the verdict is on that!
Cristina y yo buscamos a los niños en el colegio a las cinco. Nos quedaba un poco tiempo antes de irnos a las lecciones de natación y nos disfrutamos en un parque. Como se puede ver, era un parque muy bonito al lado del río Ebro. Y para que sepas...por fin encontré un lugar donde corren los corredores!! Aquí, al lado del río, hay un camino! Yo vi a 4 o 5 personas corriendo mientras estábamos jugando en el parque, y nadie les miraron como fueran locos! A ver, que solo tengo que caminar 25 minutos para estar allí en el lugar de correr.....me pregunto si tiene sentido, caminar 50 minutos para correr 45 minutos más?! Jaja! Vamos a ver mañana!
